Ethio-Djibouti Railway

The delegation led by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics visited Mojo Dry Port and Endode Railway Cargo Station.


November 21,  2023 (EDR): A delegation led by H.E Engineer Saleh bin Nasser AlJasser Minister, Ministry of Transport and Logestics of KSA’s visited Mojo Dry Port and Endode Railway Cargo Station.

The delegation visited the Mojo Dry Port in the presence of the Minister, Ministry of Transport and Logistics of Ethiopia, H.E. Alemu Seme (Dr.).

At the same time, the Minister of State for Transport and Logistics of Ethiopia, H.E. Bereo Hassan, the Chief Executive Officer of Ethio-Djibouti Railway Transport, Abdi Zeneb (Dr.), the Director General of the Maritime Authority of Ethiopia, and the leaders of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics visited the Ethio-Djibouti Railway Transport Endode cargo station.

H.E. Ato Bereo Hassan said on this occasion that the visit of the Saudi delegation aimed to share the potential in the transport and logistics sector with our country and to strengthen continuous bilateral relations in the sector, which is of special significance.

H.E Engineer Saleh bin Nasser AlJasser Minister, Ministry of Transport and Logestics of KSA’s
said that the visit is of great importance to indicate the issues on which we can work together in the logistics sector following the economic growth that Ethiopia is achieving.

Saudi Arabia is a country with a strategic location connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe, and it is working towards the goal of becoming an international logistics center for the three continents.

It is to be remembered that the first Saudi Africa Forum was held recently, in which leaders of other African countries, including the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, participated.

It is to be remembered that the forum aims to strengthen international relations between Saudi Arabia and Africa.

The visit of H.E Engineer Saleh bin Nasser AL Jasser Minister, Ministry of Transport and Logistics of KSA’s, was held after the conference, so it is special significance for Ethiopia transport and logistics sector.
